Judith Arango
Interior Designer
Judith Arango was born in 1970 in Panama, Republic of Panama where she was surrounded with all the nature’s beauty and stimulus from various cultures present in her home country. From an early age, she showed her sensibility and passion for forms, textures, colors and spaces. Once she realized the influence that beauty and function of interiors can have in the quality of life, she became interested in the field and was able to find where to applied everything that she is passionate about.
Judith studied at Florida International University (FIU), located in Miami, and in 1993 she obtained her Bachelor in Interior Design. She had the privileged to start her professional career at Howard Snoweiss Design Group, a design firm based in Coral Gables, Florida and ranked in the “Top 100 Interior Design Giants” from United States. During two years, Judith participated in projects of great scale such as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Marriott Hotels.
In 1995, she returns to Panama and joins the firm of Mallol & Mallol Arquitectos S. A. lead by Ignacio Mallol, Panama’s most recognized architect in both residential and commercial projects. During this period, she directed the design execution of projects like the City Club Panama and Sears Departments Retail Store.
During 1998, Judith was welcome back to Howard Snoweiss Design Group as her career moves back to Miami when she got married and chooses this city as a platform for her personal and professional life. In 2000, HSDG is acquired by RTKL Associates Inc. (founded in 1946 and with offices in North America, Europe and Asia), and she continued her professional growth with this world-renowned architectural group. While at RTKL, she executed high-end hospitality projects such as The Ocean Club at Key Biscayne and The Ritz Carlton Hotel at Amelia Island.
In 2004, Judith ventures to the decision of working independently. As a design consultant, she has collaborated with Stephanie Tyler, owner and principal of International Design Concepts, to be part of a professional design group that aims its attention to high-end hospitality projects based overseas.
Today, Judith resides in Santiago, Chile where she continues offering her design consulting services to design firms in Miami with projects in Florida and the Caribbean and also to residential clients. She holds more than 15 years of experience and an extensive network of designers, architects and suppliers local and international.
Motivated by her passion for interior design and decorative objects, she founded Judith Arango, Ltda. in 2009 with the mission to create timeless aesthetics and harmonic interiors. Clients will also be offered an array of home accessories that have been carefully selected to enhance their homes. Judith travels to international trade shows to select objects with a wow effect and to keep up with the industry’s trends. In all her travels, she is always in search of new sources of inspiration and eager to come across hard-to-find decorative pieces that reflect the spirit and unique style of Judith Arango – design central.
